Bring back the Sparkle

There’s no better time than the present to pave the way in cultivating new ways of thinking to not only survive but thrive in this current climate. We know what it’s like to sacrifice, as we are sure many of you do too. But instead of having to lose yourself in turbulent times, we want to inspire you all to come along with us on this journey of rediscovery, new beginnings, and most importantly fun and laughter.

Let’s start with who we are, shall we?
We are a couple of females, blonde, hardworking, unlucky in love (HOT and desperate need we say anymore…..actually that’s far from the truth as you will discover throughout this journey with us) we have two kids each, and we are both in Governmental Leadership positions for different organisations. We’ve always prioritised our health and well-being holding it at the forefront of our lives. This has been instrumental as we navigated times of trauma.

‘Be a Diamond’ came about after we were supporting each other through our divorces. Being an independent parent is extremely challenging and we are proud to say we are on our way to re-establishing ourselves. It hasn’t all been smooth sailing and it still isn’t… but the learnings we have taken away have been imperative in shaping the confident, emotionally stable, and blazing women that we are today.

So why the name, Be a Diamond?
We know that Diamonds are created from carbon deposits deep within the earth subjected to high temperature and pressure. Some stones can take shape in a matter of days whereas others take years to form.

The three words in the creation of a Diamond highlighted above are the words that we believe have many carats within them that have resonated with us and what we see are key to navigating through hard times.

Deep relates to going within yourself to understand who you really are, and what you can achieve, acknowledging why you think, believe, and perceive certain things, and exploring these to grow on a deeper level. This part is the most challenging as it can put you in an uncomfortable position that requires courage to overcome. A saying we often use is learning how to “be comfortable with the uncomfortable.”

Pressure; when the heat goes on and the pressure builds it’s time for you to take a breath, reset and refocus. Establishing some clear boundaries based on your aspirations, and your family’s needs. Setting goals that are achievable yet challenging enough to be rewarding and sitting back with eyes wide open accepting the unknown but having complete control over your behavior and actions as you move forward.

Take Shape involves developing an understanding of how to be your best self by implementing strategies on how to get there. Some things are easy fixes but there are many aspects you endure that can take years to recover. Learn, adapt, and change.

Our intentions are to encourage parents to aspire to be authentic in their day-to-day living in a world that has many barriers and challenges that we all face in today’s world.

So come with us on a journey that has no destination where we learn, grow, and endeavor to get our sparkle back.
